Your mission
Circle Economy’s impact goal is to double global circularity by 2032. Our work with nations is crucial to achieving that goal. The Circularity Gap Reporting initiative (CGRi) offers a globally recognised method for benchmarking national performance on the circular economy, while also enabling a strong evidence base to support governments in establishing circular transition agendas. To date we have published a total of five Global Circularity Gap Reports, and an additional ten national and regional reports. To reach our impact goal of doubling global circularity, the CGRi aims to deliver analysis and monitoring for 100 countries by 2032.
The Circularity Gap Reporting Initiative Lead role combines team, programme and budgetary management with business development and stakeholder management to realize the long term vision and expansion of the CGRi program. Working in collaboration with colleagues across the organization to drive an ambitious strategy for scaling Circle Economy’s products and services in delivering impact within nations.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
Programme Management & Development
Lead the programme’s day-to-day operations of the CGRi team;
Oversee the planning and implementation of the programme working across Circle Economy’s teams to ensure stakeholders' requirements are met
Direct the implementation of CGRi projects to ensure the project manager meets the stakeholders' expectations and that the project delivers within scope, budget and timelines allocated
Execute working practices in line with the organisation’s Project Management Office, legal, administrative and financial controls. Input into the development and agreement of policies and procedures and ensure implementation within the programme.
Manage the programme budget (revenue) and secure yearly positive results.
Drive the strategic development of the CGRi:
Drive the development of the CGRi strategy with your team’s Senior Strategists and the Research and Development team at Circle Economy to ensure your program’s strategy is in line with the organisational long term strategy and the ambitions of other thematic areas.
Regularly review programme positioning, services and products, and lead on their development in line with stakeholders needs, opportunities and contextual relevance.
Initiate, build and maintain strong relationships with partners,institutions and donors, to strengthen the programmatic impact. Secure funding for the programme’s continuity by creating and delivering proposals for funding organisations.
Communications & Advocacy
Ensure communications & advocacy efforts build external visibility the CGRi:
Represent the organisation at external events to raise the profile and reputation of the CGRi
Oversee key messaging and language in public information and throughout our Marketing and Communication activities
Ensure key information is disseminated through publishing the work of the programme to its national and international audience.
